The Struggle Behind The Lens
This emmy-nominated documentary is the firsthand account of some of Atlanta's broadcast pioneers, who recount the dangers and difficulties they faced early on in their careers.
They also share their triumphs and gratitude as the film unveils their fight alongside the FCC to force local TV and radio stations to hire more black talent in front of and behind the camera.
I am the director, writer and co-executive producer of this production.
Getting ahead can take more than having good grades. The Oliver Scholars program guides and challenges promising students in underserved communities and gives them a shot at elite universities.
It was great working with CNN Anchor, Don Lemon.
I produced and wrote this piece.

A creative storyteller with both editorial and technical skills
Sometimes production days can be long and tiresome with its share of unforeseen problems. Check out the photo of me in one of my work t-shirts.....LOL!
Despite those rough days, I absolutely love what I do from ideation to completion - producing short and long-form serious world-news stories or light-hearted, entertainment and human interest stories to instructional, promotional or electronic press kit videos.
Pitch, create and develop multimedia content

I am a dedicated mentor, who likes volunteering my time and contributing talent toward working with students and interns to demonstrate production methods, research and story development to increase their interest and passion for media production.
I instill in them the importance of having time and budget management skills. I show them how I work logistically and creatively to get the most out of the resources available to me in order to produce captivating visuals for my clients.
It was great hanging out with actor Patrick "McDreamy" Dempsey all day for a great cause.
I was one of the photojournalists on this story. I also booked, produced and wrote this package for CNN.
